Why Romania
LifestyleRomania like many Latin countries has lovely and warm people. They are recognised to have an outlook that is hospitable and a tendency to befriend the stranger. Young Romanians are particularly open-minded with attitudes that are both pragmatic and optimistic. Family values are highly regarded and women are considered in a respectful way.

Climate
The climate has both temperate and continental features. It is characteristic of central Europe with hot summers and cold winters, as well as very distinct four seasons. There is an abundant fall of snow especially in the mountains.
In summer there are frequent showers and thunderstorms in the mountains. Among the attractive aspects are the sunny days of autumn which last from early September to late October. Spring stars in mid March in most of the regions although it arrives in April in the mountains and in the northern part of the country.
The warmest area is in the south in Dobrogea.
The People
Romanians are famous for their hospitality and friendliness, regardless of the nationality of their visitors. Many residents speak English and French and a few are able to speak German, Italian and Spanish.

Romania has a long cultural history. Its prosperity was for centuries dominated by the demands and limitations of a rural economy.
Mountains
The Carpathians are not high as the Alps but the pure air and the amazing landscape attract thousands of tourists to Romania every year for hiking and skiing. The most visited place in the Romanian mountains are the resorts in the Prahova Valley of Brasov County. In Moldavia’s mountains there are marked trails that lead to other resorts and the bizarre shapes of the eroded rocks of Ceahlau and mysterious geological formations called megaliths.
Black Sea Coast
The shores along Romania’s Black Sea coast lies for 250 km in the southeast of the country. Here are modern resorts such as Constanta (Romania’s largest port on the Black Sea); Mamaia (5 km north of Constanta, well known as a health spa); Neptun and Olimp (the most elegant of the costal resort. Close with Bulgaria border is Mangalia and the ancient Greek city Calatis (founded in 6 century B.C).
Costinesti is considered to be the resort of the young, with its film, music, theatre and cultural festivals. Eforie North and Eforie South are known as a health spa.
Salt concentrations and the gentle Wave action are excellent for the health-providing thalasso-terapy.
Romania’s rich cultural heritage
Romania has rich regions of preserved cultures. Bucovina has the riches of cultures with its painted churches and monasteries with exterior biblical frescos. Transylvania’s mountains have picturesque villages where the region’s medieval Saxon heritage remains evident. In Maramures ancient customs are a way of life. Many buildings are made of wood, often carved with symbolic motifs. Bucharest has a detectable Parisian flavour. Here is a country of pristine villages and picturesque landscapes, vibrant towns and modern cities.
Geography
Romania has a variety of landscape and a consistency of climate. Shining beaches, extensive fields, productive vineyards, many hills, the Carpathian Mountains and the level of the Danube Delta, the home of hundreds of species of fish and birds.
